What is JUVÉDERM® Ultra
Juvéderm Ultra Injectable is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is injected into the skin to add volume where it is needed most. Since all Juvéderm products are created using special Hylacross technology, the gel is smooth and flexible enough to deliver predictable and attractive results.
In particular, this can be used to tackle early signs of aging that don’t require dramatic correction. Ultra’s formula utilizes finer, smaller molecules that make the gel light, silky, and gentle. This means that Juvéderm is an excellent solution to correct superficial to moderate wrinkles and add subtle fullness to thin lips.
Juvéderm Ultra is also available as Juvéderm Ultra XC. The “XC” simply means that a numbing agent called lidocaine has been added to make the injection more comfortable. Juvéderm XC can maintain results for as long as a year before being absorbed into the body. In fact, 78 percent of people treated with Juvéderm XC reported feeling satisfied with the look and feel of their lips a full year after treatment.
What is JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus
Juvéderm Plus shares a few key similarities with Juvéderm Ultra, as it is also a hyaluronic acid dermal filler formulated with Hylacross technology to provide extra volume to aging skin. However, Juvéderm Plus differentiates itself by offering a thicker and more stable formula created with larger molecules. This means that Juvéderm Plus is injected deeper into the dermis to support significant cosmetic corrections.
Juvederm Plus can effectively target mid-face volume loss, deep nasolabial folds and wrinkles, dramatic lip enhancement, and overall facial shaping. Thanks to its thicker formula, Juvederm Plus can last a bit longer than its sister product, Juvederm Ultra. It also is available as Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, for the additional benefit of lidocaine for comfort.
