Wrinkles are a sign of aging, and you typically want to do something about it right away. Dermal fillers are gel-like injectables that restore your skin and volume and smooth out deep lines and facial creases, creating a more youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved and generally safe, so they are a great alternative to more invasive treatments like surgery. As a result, over 1 million men and women take advantage of this treatment each year.
Dermal fillers are a widely recognized cosmetic procedure aimed at reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the skin and restoring the lost volume of your face.
It is a minimally invasive treatment, and no downtime or side effects are associated.
They are gel-like substances injected beneath your skin on the desired facial area.
Dermal fillers, such as Juvèderm®, Restylane by Galderma, Voluma, Vollure by Allergen, Belotero, and Versa by Revanesse, are injectables that use hyaluronic acid to create a more youthful look. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body that is responsible for keeping your skin hydrated and plump. Injecting this gel-like substance into targeted areas of the face will add volume under the skin and help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers can also be used to improve facial symmetry and contour your face while filling in acne scars.
When you are getting a dermal filler treatment, the area will be thoroughly cleaned, and then an anesthetic will be applied if necessary. Almost all dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing agent that helps reduce discomfort during treatment. There is often some mild pinching or pressure sensation while the product is injected. Finally, your provider will inject a specific amount of dermal filler into the targeted area under the skin.
As per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, More than 3 Million people get Dermal Fillers every year. Dermal Fillers have taken the entire cosmetics and aesthetics industry by storm due to their numerous benefits and no side effects.
Let’s take a closer look at the Juvederm family of Fillers. The fillers of this type have a common ingredient, i.e., Hyaluronic acid is abundant in the skin, joints, and connective tissues. Fillers are responsible for renewing skin and boosting collagen production to tighten the skin and eradicate the signs of aging. The Juvederm fillers are generally made with Lidocaine, a numbing agent responsible for alleviating discomfort and redness to deliver the achieved result with less pain.
We will discuss the four most popular Juvederm Fillers, i.e., Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Vollure, Juvederm Volbella, and Juvederm Voluma XC, and Juvederm Volux.

Restylane Lyft was formerly known as Perlane. It is the newest addition in the Restylane family that is not only aimed at augmenting the cheeks and is responsible for providing support to the facial features by lifting the mid-face.

Dermal filler treatments are customized to your needs. With a selection of dermal filler products on the market, it may seem challenging to find the right one for you. That is why working with an experienced medical provider is so important. During your complimentary consultation, our providers will evaluate your specific aesthetic goals to determine which dermal filler treatment is best for achieving your desired results.
Juvederm® and Restylane are FDA-approved and generally considered safe. The side effects of dermal fillers are mild and usually only last a couple of days following the treatment. You may experience some bruising or swelling at the injection site, but this will go away after a few days.
Dermal filler treatments last between thirty minutes to an hour. After a patient has treatment, they can return to normal daily activities.
With dermal fillers, you can get quick and easy results with little downtime. You can come in on your lunch hour and then continue on with the rest of your day, too.
The results of dermal fillers depend on which type is used and the area being treated. Typically, they last between one to two years. They do not require as much commitment as surgical procedures.
Dermal injections are FDA-approved to treat a wide variety of facial areas, such as the lips, marionette lines, nasolabial folds (the crease that runs from the bottom of your nose to mouth), under-eye bags, chin, jawline, and hands.
Dermal fillers have rapid results, so you can see the effects right away. They may take up to four weeks to fully set in, though, before your fillers are completely effective. We recommend following up your dermal filler treatment with plenty of hydration and water, as hyaluronic acid binds to water molecules and will strengthen the effect of the filler.
After your treatment, you may experience some minor irritations. This will usually go away on its own in less than a week. You can apply cold compresses as often as you want, immediately and up to 24 hours after the procedure to reduce swelling.
At 24 hours post-treatment, if any bruising has occurred, you can apply warm compresses to the affected areas in order to expedite the resolution of bruising. Avoid touching the treated area AGAIN for six hours following treatment. After that, you may gently wash the area.
Avoid – sunbathing and cold outdoor activities until any redness or swelling disappears.
Avoid – exercise and alcohol for six hours after treatment.
Avoid – ibuprofen, aspirin, Advil, or vitamin E for 24 hours after injection.
Dermal fillers may be a more attractive option for many individuals interested in facial augmentation. Unlike other invasive options, dermal fillers can begin with a mild enhancement and increase if needed. Dermal fillers are effective for patients who have static wrinkles and/or lines, lost facial volume, acne scars, asymmetrical features or desire facial contouring. Although dermal fillers have not been studied on pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers or those under 18 years old, they are worth considering before any other form of treatment.
Dermal fillers are a non-invasive facial enhancement treatment. It is easy, to begin with a mild enhancement and then increase over time if necessary.
