You’ve been under a lot of stress lately and your skin can show it. It’s lost its glow and elasticity. But that all can change with SkinPen microneedling

Microneedling elicits the body’s natural healing process. Think about your aesthetic concerns; acne-prone skin, skin laxity, rough texture, and so on and forth.

Well, here’s some good news. The cosmetics and aesthetic industry have discovered a solution for all of these problems, a treatment called Microneedling that invokes the natural healing process of your body without having to use any external agent. Aestheticians, Plastic surgeons and Dermatologists have highly endorsed this amazing skin rejuvenation and rejuvenation treatment.

Having said that let’s show you how microneedling can add moisture to your skin and make you feel great!

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a natural yet effective way to address numerous skin concerns. This treatment leverages your body’s natural healing process, which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to help improve your skin texture and bring firmness, radiance and glow to your skin. It is minimally invasive and has no potential side effects since no external agents are used.

How is Microneedling Done?

First, your skin is cleansed, then a mild anesthetic lotion or cream is applied to numb your face and alleviate the discomfort during the procedure. Then, a Pen, like a device called a “Dermal roller,” usually having nine needles, is slightly pressed on your face and other areas to be treated. This creates hundreds of punctures on your skin. Slight pinpoint bleeding occurs, and the treated area becomes red or pink. However, this treatment is not painful.

While the imagination of needles being injected and your epidermis being punctured into tiny holes accompanied by bleeding might be scary, you don’t need to get scared since the numbing cream applied before the treatment makes the treatment slightly uncomfortable, not painful.  Moreover, the perforations on your dermis are very tiny, so it just causes pinpoint blood droplets.

What are the Benefits of Microneedling?

Microneedling has taken the entire aesthetic industry by storm due to its numerous advantages and benefits, versatile and holistic effectiveness, no side effects, and minimal downtime.

Diminishes the Appearance of Signs of Aging:

Aging is inevitable, but it’s signs are not. Having leveraged the regular treatment of Microneedling, one can easily avoid or diminish the appearance of signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines. Whether you want to smooth static lines caused due to the process of aging, or dynamic lines caused due to frequent facial movements, Microneedling has got you covered. It boosts the production of collagen and elastin the prevent and diminish their appearance. Furthermore, it is recommended to leverage the treatment of microneedling in synergy with other skin rejuvenation treatments, such as Neuromodulators or Dermal Fillers.

Scar Treatment:

Scars are the most stubborn marks on the face that don’t go away easily despite consistent efforts. However, Microneedling has got your back. Due to increased collagen and elastin production, these scars fade over time, providing you get treatment frequently and consistently.

Sun Damage:

Eradicating the damage caused due to sun exposure and other UV radiations are easier said than done. People get laser treatments for this purpose. However, microneedling is also aimed at diminishing the signs of aging with fewer side effects than other cosmetic treatments.

Anti-aging:

The core aim of getting this treatment is boosting the production of elastin and collagen. These two proteins are responsible for maintaining your skin’s firmness, tightness, and youth; their decreased production causes skin laxity. With that said, microneedling can do wonders to diminish and prevent the signs of aging and maintain the youth and radiance of your skin.

Shrink Pores:

Enlarged pores are one of the biggest complaints patients express about their skin.  Microneedling will shrink the enlarged pores and eventually fade away their appearance, making your skin flawless and radiant.

Fight Stretch Marks:

Often, some stretch marks appear on your skin, and numerous reasons contribute to them. For instance, pregnancy, weight loss, and invasive surgery, to name but a few. Microneedling is found very effective in smoothing the appearance of your stretch marks.

No Side Effects:

Unlike many cosmetic treatments available in the market, Microneedling uses the body’s immune and healing system to address the patient’s concern without injecting or applying any external agent or chemical to your skin. Therefore, no potential side effects are associated with this treatment. However, some pre and post-treatment care is required, which is not too rigorous either. Those instructions will be discussed later in this article.

Synergistic with Other Cosmetic Treatments:

Microneedling is safe for use with other cosmetic treatments, excluding chemical peels and lasers. However, the effectiveness of microneedling to smooth the signs of aging greatly increase when it is leveraged with other rejuvenation treatments like Neuromodulators and Dermal Fillers.
